Quin is designed to keep your financial information private. This policy explains what data Quin handles and how.
Your data stays on your device
Quin stores all of your financial records — accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, and investments — in a local database on your device. We do not run accounts or servers that hold your financial data, and this information is not uploaded to us.
No account, no tracking
Quin has no sign-up or login. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and we do not build a profile of you.
Optional features that use the internet
Core features work offline. A few optional features connect to outside services:
Exchange rates. To display balances in different currencies, Quin fetches daily rates from a public rates provider (open.er-api.com). No personal or financial information is sent — only a request for current rates.
Stock prices. For investment holdings, Quin retrieves Taiwan (TWSE) market prices through our price service. The stock symbols you track are sent to look up prices; your identity is not.
E-invoice sync (電子發票). If you use e-invoice import (a premium feature available in Taiwan), Quin connects to Taiwan's Ministry of Finance e-invoice platform using the carrier (載具) details you provide, in order to retrieve your invoices and record them as transactions. These details are used only to fetch your invoices.
Subscriptions. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google Play, depending on where you installed Quin, and managed through RevenueCat. Purchase and subscription status is handled by these services under their own privacy policies; we do not receive your payment details.
Notifications. Bill and budget reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device and are not sent through any server.
Children's privacy
Quin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
